A day at the beach with Mondo Kaos

The summer weather seems to go on and on, even though the calendar only just says June!

The high temperatures are already making us head to the beach and think of beautiful swimwear and light summer dresses.

We decided to spend a day at the beach with our beautiful models to show you the gorgeous vintage style outfits.

It was Simone who went, with the two lovely bathing nymphs Christina and Hanna who took on Heligoland and Amager beach with bravura.

Swimwear from Esther Williams

The beautiful swimwear designs from Esther Williams are based on swimwear from the 1940s and 1950s, and are known for their unique vintage designs with the classic halterneck binding and low legs. Inspired by both movie and swimming star Esther Williams, as well as icons Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe, the designs focus on a flattering look for the feminine figure.

At Amager beach, our two models alternated between different swimsuits and bikinis, giving you a chance to see different styles and compare colors, and see the difference between the bikini and the swimsuit.

Vintage swimsuit or pin-up style bikini?

The gorgeous one-piece retro legged swimsuit from Esther Williams has an incredibly flattering and comfortable fit.

The swimsuit has a halterneck with small soft pleats at the front and a small skirt. The soft cups hold the bust gently in place and it comes in many sizes from small to 4x-large and in different colors and prints, so you can find a vintage 50s legged swimsuit that perfectly suits your personality and taste.

The bikini has a halterneck like the swimsuit, it has light cups with good support and is gathered in the middle to give it the perfect vintage look. The bikini bottom is super high-waisted with ruching at the sides and is low cut with a slight shaping effect.

We think both the one-piece swimsuit and the bikini look amazing, but if you don't have a preference, perhaps the pictures will give you a better idea of what you like best.

Vintage style dresses for the beach

Even the most hardy beach nymphs may need to have some clothes on hand when the clouds start to roll in over Amager beach. So we packed beautiful dresses and shorts perfect for any beach trip or vacation suitcase.

If you opt for polka dot swimwear, why not go all the way and wrap yourself in the beautiful Seamstress of Bloomsbury polka dot wrap dress? Dots are super summery and enhance both the vintage style and the nautical look.
