What Katie Did

What Katie Did is a British lingerie brand that creates exceptional lingerie and nylon stockings with seams in a classic, elegant vintage style. What Katie Did was founded in 1999 by Katie, who has always had a fondness for vintage lingerie and specially stitched stockings. Back in the 90s, however, she found it difficult to find stockings with seams that she could use every day, and therefore decided to start her own business. With just £100 in her pocket, she opened a website and a small hosiery shop in Camden and it took off from there. Today, What Katie Did designs both lingerie and stockings, they have three stores in England and one store in the USA and are sold in over 100 stores worldwide.

What Katie Did's designs are inspired by vintage designs and original vintage lingerie from Katie's personal collection and her staff's personal collection. They have even received original vintage lingerie from some of their customers, which they have designed from. This gives their various types of vintage underwear a very authentic look, ranging from 1940s style French knickers to torpedo bras to classic corsets with metal braces.

What Katie Did is a slow fashion brand because they care about both the quality of their products and the quality of the workforce that produces them. Their clothes are produced in a small factory in India, and they have a close collaboration with and relationship with both owners and seamstresses, whom they have known for several years. The close collaboration means a lot to Katie, and she visits the factory several times a year.

Elegant suspenders, girdles and 'waist cinchers' from What Katie Did

Hip braces are made of really good quality satin. They sit comfortably, shape the figure easily and can be worn both outside and inside your panties, depending on the look you want and the occasion you wear the suspender. Their suspenders fit at the waist, close with hooks at the back and have 6 to 8 straps to fasten stockings/stockings so they sit properly and neither suspenders nor stockings fall down!
Girdles from What Katie Did are made in classic vintage style in a mix of powermesh and satin, which gives a very elegant look! Their girdles shape the stomach, hips and bottom, making them perfect for wearing under body-hugging pencil dresses and pencil skirts.

Waist cinchers from What Katie Did are their take on elegant shapewear! The waist cincher is made of powermesh and satin and shapes the torso so that the waist is defined and the silhouette in the upper body appears narrower. It also has removable straps for your stockings. It's the perfect piece of vintage shapewear for all your waist cut vintage dresses - and on top of that it helps to give a great posture because it has built-in stays!

What Katie Did is one of the world's leading manufacturers of seamed stockings and pantyhose in authentic vintage style. All their stockings and tights are 'fully fashioned', which means that the nylon fabric is knitted flat and gathered in a seam on the back of the stocking that ends in a reinforced heel. What Katie Did's stockings with seams are known, among other things, for coming in several different colors, and in Mondo Kaos we have, among other things, their stockings with blue, green, pink and red seams, in addition to the classic ones in black and champagne/nude. Socks with studs give your look the last elegant vintage glam, and it looks especially nice to wear a pair of socks with colored studs with a bag or other accessories in the same color!

Please note that What Katie Did's stockings do not have silicone bands and are intended to be worn with a garter belt!

What Katie Did also makes seamed pantyhose if you don't have the courage to try a garter yet or you just prefer to wear pantyhose. Their tights have a wide, elastic waist and reinforced crotch and heel, which provides a great fit and really good comfort. We have the tights in champagne with champagne colored seams, in champagne with black seams and in black with black seams, three classic color combinations that you can use for all your vintage outfits, whether you are going for an authentic vintage look or you want to add to your modern outfit a touch of the elegance of the past and discreet sex appeal!
