Very Cherry is a Dutch vintage brand that makes clothes in beautiful retro designs, inspired by the fashion of the 1940s and 1950s! We love the classic vintage style that Very Cherry combines with a simplicity and purity of expression that just fits super well with our Nordic vintage wardrobes.

Very Cherry - A Fairtrade brand made in Europe

Caroline Poiesz is the woman behind Very Cherry. The brand arose from Caroline's love for vintage clothes, which began already in her teenage years. She opened a store in Rotterdam in 2008, and here she started designing vintage basics herself under the name Very Cherry.
The love for classic vintage clothes is always seen in Caroline's designs, which have a clear expression. There is always attention to detail, but not too many buttons or bows.

Take e.g. her swing skirts that we always have in the store, or the beautiful Monroe top with the boat neckline. These basics are perfectly designed, no-frills clothes that stand out and fit perfectly in any vintage enthusiast's wardrobe.

All the clothes are designed in the Netherlands by Caroline, and produced in a small factory in Poland, under proper working conditions. The brand always uses high quality materials for their feminine and flattering clothes.
It is important for Very Cherry to be fair trade, i.e. that production takes place under proper working conditions and that the quality of the fabric and clothing is top notch. It must be able to be used again and again so it is sustainable.

Today, Very Cherry sells their beautiful designs to over 130 stores.

Here In Mondo Kaos, Very Cherry is a classic. Time and time again we grab the beautiful swing skirts that can be styled with everything! They are a vintage wardrobe basic that we wouldn't want to be without and that we recommend for all occasions. The same goes for the beautiful tops or the incredibly flattering vintage pencil skirts. These are everyday basics that just always work, and can be styled up or down to suit any need.

Very Cherry has created a super flattering waist cut shirt dress with lapel collar and short sleeves. The dress has a lovely wide skirt and pockets also has the shirt button closure down the front and a tie belt at the waist. Very Cherry's classic swing skirt with full sun

The classic swing skirts from Very Cherry are the perfect swing skirts. We always have them at home, preferably in different basic colours, or colors suitable for the shades of the season, so that there is always just the vintage outfit you are looking for for your retro wardrobe.

The skirt is round cut, which means lots of fabric and width, and if you use it on the dance floor it can swing out into a full sun. Of course, this also means something for how beautifully this skirt falls over the hips and thighs. The skirt is perfect for creating the hourglass figure with focus on the narrow waist.

The best-selling Monroe tops are what we most associate Very Cherry with. The tops which fit perfectly to the body, and have the beautiful boat neckline that Marilyn Monroe made a signature. It goes with everything, whether you choose a pair of vintage jeans or one of Very Cherry's own beautiful swing skirts.
We carry the top in a range of colors and also in the discreet retro-inspired patterns that are unique to Very Cherry.

The classic vintage trouser suit from Very Cherry

Very Cherry is one of the brands that makes absolutely fantastic vintage inspired pantsuits. They are of exquisite quality and sit beautifully on the body, again in Very Cherry's elegantly simple design. They are classic in cut and super comfortable.

They are casual, but can easily be used for all occasions. Wear them with a pair of stilettos and you instantly have a really beautiful vintage outfit.

Vintage clothes, retro clothes or repro clothes?

As most of our customers already know, our clothes are not "true vintage". This means that it is not secondhand clothing made in the middle of the last century, but reproduced (repro) clothing which is inspired, with great love for the details, by vintage clothing, prints and cut patterns. However, we have found that the vast majority of our customers do not know the term "repro", but use both retro and vintage to describe the clothes we sell, despite the fact that they are newly produced clothes. That's why we do exactly the same here at Mondo Kaos. All our clothes are always newly produced, not second-hand, and are primarily inspired by the wonderful, feminine fashion from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
