Personal shopping
In Mondo Kaos, you can book in for personal shopping on the first Monday of the month.
It happens that we can be extremely busy in Mondo Kaos, and that many customers need guidance and try on our vintage and retro clothes at the same time. We're used to that, it also creates a really good atmosphere in the store, and it usually goes well. But perhaps you have tried to come down to the store with a certain expectation on a day like this when it is very busy, and did not get the full attention on your particular search, you can also advantageously book time for personal shopping.
What is personal shopping?
For personal shopping, you book an appointment via our booking system, where you will be alone in the store with an employee for approx. 50 minutes You thus ensure that there is time for you and your specific needs on the day you arrive. The employee in question will help you find exactly the vintage outfit you are looking for, and give you advice and guidance on which clothes and which style will suit you.
What can you expect from personal shopping in Mondo Kaos?
You come to the store at the agreed time. Preferably not long before, as the door will be locked, as a customer before you must have his personal time as well. You will be let in at the agreed time, and you will also have approx. 50 minutes with our skilled and experienced shop employee. Remember that there must also be time to get in and out, that we have to clean up after each customer, and have surfaces and touch surfaces cleaned, etc.
That time is entirely yours, so you decide what you would like guidance on, and it pays to think about it before you come, in order to get as much out of the visit as possible.
How do I use personal shopping?
Personal shopping is a good idea if, for example, you are looking for something more specific; a vintage dress for a special occasion, vintage-style clothes for your holiday, or if your wardrobe needs updating. It could also be that you are new to our retro and vintage clothes, and are looking for what suits your figure. Of course, you can also be inspired by all the wonderful vintage brands we have in the store.
Personal shopping is perhaps a less good idea if you want to be inspired for a later occasion, as our clothes are manufactured and ordered home in small batches, and the items that are sold out, which usually do not come back. If you fall in love with some vintage clothing during a personal shopping trip, but plan to buy it in a month, we can't promise that it's still there.
Can I bring a companion for personal shopping?
The purpose of personal shopping is of course also that you get our full expertise, so if you want to have a companion with you for advice, it may not be necessary to make an appointment for personal shopping, but you can instead come during the store's usual opening hours. If you want to avoid that there are too many people in the store, it is a good idea to bet on the morning hours, when it is usually quieter in Mondo Kaos.
If for specific reasons you would like to have a companion with you, you are of course welcome, but remember that we can only take care of one customer, otherwise there will not be enough time.

Personal shopping for vintage style wedding dresses
You can also use personal shopping to find the perfect retro wedding dress for the big day, but as our wedding dresses are in stock, you need to make an appointment well in advance if you want to try on our vintage style wedding dresses, so we have them ready for you.
Personal Shopping in Mondo Kaos during CoVid 19 - Are you in a risk group?
You are of course also more than welcome to book an appointment for personal shopping if, for health reasons, you need to be extra careful about exposing yourself to the risk of CoVid 19 infection. Of course, we clean thoroughly after each visit, and you will be alone in the store with only one employee. If you are in the risk group, please write an email about this in good time so that we know this in advance.
Vintage clothes, retro clothes or repro clothes?
As most of our customers already know, our clothes are not "true vintage". This means that it is not secondhand clothing made in the middle of the last century, but reproduced (repro) clothing which is inspired, with great love for the details, by vintage clothing, prints and sewing patterns. However, we have found that the vast majority of our customers do not know the term "repro", but use both retro and vintage to describe the clothes we sell, despite the fact that they are newly produced clothes. That's why we do exactly the same here at Mondo Kaos. All our clothes are always newly produced, not second-hand, and are primarily inspired by the wonderful, feminine fashion from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

The shop is staffed by Stine, Kirstine, Line and Carina, who are all passionate clothing lovers, and they will do everything they can to help you find just the right vintage and retro clothing and accessories in a feminine retro style for you for staff shopping or during the store's normal opening hours.
You are of course also welcome to visit us during our opening hours, which are Monday*-Friday at 10:00-18:00 and Saturday at 10:00-16:00.
