Beautiful vintage inspired wrap shirt in light blue from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury.
A wonderful shirt with a dressing gown band, lapel collar and puff sleeves!
The Greta dressing gown is made in shirt style and is also reminiscent of the bestselling dressing gown, with the fine lapel collar. Wrinkles at the shoulders give room for the bust, and the short sleeves are slightly puffed to give the shirt its 1940s silhouette.
Like the dressing gown, the Greta shirt can be tied and adjusted to suit you. The beautiful cropped cut means that the shirt sits at the natural waist to match all those great high-waisted vintage style pants and skirts.
The shirt is made of fine Rayon crepe de Chine, which is light and smooth and has that authentic vintage feel.

Rayon crepe is a natural, lightweight and beautiful material, and we recommend that you care for the garment as they did with original 1940s clothing.
We suggest hand washing, just like they did back then. If you want to use the easier option of using a washing machine, it's very important to wash on a gentle cycle and place the garment in a laundry bag. However, we do not recommend washing in a machine as not all machines treat clothes equally well.
Avoid drying clothes in direct sunlight or in very hot places (e.g. over a radiator) as this can cause the material to expand and subsequently shrink.

In the unlikely event of an accident, you can try the following method to get the garment back to its original size and fit. This method is not guaranteed, but may help in some cases:
- Soak the garment in cold water with a very generous amount of fabric conditioner and leave it overnight.
- Then rinse the garment in fresh cold water and while gently squeezing out the excess water, stretch the garment both width and lengthwise as far as you can.
- Lay the garment flat on a towel to let it dry slowly and keep pulling it in both directions.
