Cable knit slipover in burgundy
Vintage style vest with cables in burgundy from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury.
This soft slipover from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury is made from a replica of 'orlon', a material developed as a wool substitute in the 1940s. Orlon is vegan, so it's great for anyone who finds wool itchy.
The vest is created from an authentic pattern from the 1940s, so it oozes vintage vibe. The vest has a ribbed V-neck, ribbed armholes and a wide rib at the waist.
The fine cables give a beautiful variation in the solid color knit and are perfect over both solid and patterned shirts. Of course, it's knitted to fit the body and accentuate the figure.
The slipover is perfect for a trouser look with a shirt underneath.
- Beautiful with a bow tie shirt underneath, where you can let the bow hang over.
- Great vegan alternative to wool
- Wear it with all the great vintage style pants and/or jeans
100% Orlon.
Orlon is an acrylic fiber - a synthetic material similar to wool. It is known for being soft and warm as well as resistant to sunlight, shrinkage and chemicals. The material was introduced by DuPont in 1948 and is used in clothing.
