The Bonnie shirt is a great vintage style shirt with many beautiful authentic details.
The shirt has a fine collar that ends in two ties, which are put through a small slit. The buttons down the front are delicately covered by the ribbon.
The style is the classic blousy shape with pleats that emphasize the figure, and a fixed waistband finishes the shirt with just the right vintage look that also highlights the waist.

The shirt is made from Seamstress of Bloomsbury's famous signature fabric, rayon crepe de chine, which has a smooth look with a nice drape.

For products made in Rayon Crepe fabric, we suggest that you care for the garment in the same way as you would for original 40s clothing.
We recommend that you hand wash the garment as it was done in the 1940s, although today you can dry clean it instead if you wish!
It's best not to dry clothes in direct sunlight or in an excessively hot place (like over a radiator) as this can cause the natural material to expand and subsequently shrink.
If you accidentally wash or dry your garment too hot, try the following method to regain the original size and fit. Although this is not guaranteed to work, it may help!
1. Soak the garment in cold water with a very generous amount of fabric conditioner and leave it overnight.
2. Then rinse the garment in fresh cold water and while gently squeezing out the excess water, stretch the garment both width and lengthwise as far as you can.
3. Lay the garment flat on a towel to let it dry slowly and keep pulling it in both directions.
