Fitted 40s style blazer in light sky blue from Daisy Dapper with belt.

Perfect vintage style blazer for your retro wardrobe!

Siri is the classic blazer from Daisy Dapper, but of course with a focus on the feminine figure, so the design is created with the right vintage fit in mind.

The blazer jacket is fitted with an extra focus on the waist and is shorter than a regular blazer, so it ends in a flattering place on the hips.

The classic lapel collar creates a beautiful V-neckline and gives the characteristic blazer look. The sleeves are narrow and the jacket fits naturally to the body, giving full focus to the hourglass silhouette.
The blazer's body-hugging cut, button details and matching belt create an authentic vintage silhouette.

The blazer is made from an elegant stretch fabric that hugs the body in the most comfortable way, and it closes with buttons at the front and is adjusted with the matching belt. The jacket looks great with Billie pants, Pencil or Swing skirts from Daisy Dapper. But also with a pair of jeans or over a dress.

The delicate sky blue makes this jacket beautiful with a summery swing skirt underneath and a pair of heels, or matched with other pastels.

Questions about fit, styling and silhouette

Are you unsure about size, body shape or how to style your vintage-inspired jacket or coat? Here we have gathered the most important answers about fit, silhouette and vintage-inspired coats and jackets, so you can more easily find the style that suits you best.

What is a vintage-inspired jacket?

A vintage-inspired jacket is a newly produced jacket with cuts and details inspired by historical fashion. At Mondo Kaos, many of our jackets reference especially the 1940s and 1950s, with defined waists, structured shoulders, swing cuts and cropped jacket styles.

Are Mondo Kaos jackets true vintage?

No. Our jackets and coats are newly produced and vintage-inspired. This means you get the vintage look combined with modern sizing, materials and comfort.

Which jackets were fashionable in the 1940s?

Jackets in the 1940s were often structured and practical, with defined shoulders, a marked waist and relatively simple details. Tailored wool jackets, cropped jackets and military-inspired cuts were characteristic of the decade.

Which coats were fashionable in the 1950s?

Coats from the 1950s often had more volume, softer shoulders and a focus on the waist. Swing coats and coats with princess seams were popular because they worked beautifully over full skirts and dresses.

Which jacket works with a vintage-inspired dress?

A cropped bolero or tailored jacket works well with most vintage-inspired dresses because it keeps the waist visible. For dresses with a full skirt, a swing coat is also a beautiful choice.

How should a vintage-inspired blazer fit?

A vintage-inspired blazer should fit well across the shoulders and ideally define the waist. It can be tailored, but it should not feel tight or pull across the buttons.

Can you wear vintage-inspired jackets with modern clothing?

Yes. Vintage-inspired jackets work really well in a modern wardrobe. Try a tailored blazer with jeans and a T-shirt, or a cropped jacket with high-waisted trousers for a more subtle retro look.
