Vintage jeans from Freddies of Pinewood
Freddies of Pinewood is a great vintage denim brand with a penchant for jeans from the 1940s and 1950s. Two vintage collectors and denim lovers joined forces both privately and commercially and founded Freddies of Pinewood in 1999, where they specialized in producing authentic vintage jeans.
We carry the Jeanies and Soo Z q models.
Jeanies is a real 1950s rockabilly vintage jeans model in 100% cotton, which is completely authentic without stretch, but with the best fit, softness and durability. These vintage jeans are high-waisted with slim legs, large front pockets and perfect for turn-ups. They fasten at the side in true vintage style.
The Soo Z q is the more slouchy model, also in 50s style and also with a side zipper, but with slimmer legs. Again, the fabric is 100% soft cotton, giving the desired true vintage feel when you want to wear a pair of vintage jeans.
Lady K Loves high-waisted vintage jeans
Lady K Loves makes their jeans in the durable denim but adds a bit of stretch for a comfortable modern fit, combining the best of both worlds! Inspired by the 1950s and rock 'n' roll jeans, Lady K Loves works towards being a sustainable and socially responsible brand. In their Indian factories, only women work. They use sustainable dyes and locally produced cotton. They also work in the local community to ensure they have a healthy workforce and care for the environment. The vintage jeans fabric is imported to the UK where men and women finish the vintage jeans.
We carry the Classic, Polly and Le Wild models in both classic denim blue and black.
Lady K Loves Classic vintage slim leg jeans
Lady K Loves classic. It has a high waist and slim legs, and usually fits true to size at the hip and waist, based on measurements from their customers from the Lady K Loves Facebook page.
Lady K Loves Le Wild vintage wide leg jeans
Le Wild is a true 50s western denim with a design based on the original western ranch style jeans. It has a high waist with slightly wide straight legs and a vintage style side zipper. Le Wild is a classic boot cut vintage jean that has room for boots underneath and are truly the perfect vintage jeans. They have a bit of stretch for modern comfort.
Lady K Loves Polly high waisted vintage jeans for smaller girls
The Polly model is designed for either the petite woman who wants a high-waisted fit or the "normal" figure who wants a slightly lower waist. These vintage jeans are more fitted and are ideal for flaring at the bottom for the perfect pin-up 50s look.
How do I style my high-waisted vintage jeans?

Jeans or denim?
The word jeans originally comes from Genoa, where merchants traded the heavy cotton fabric they called denim, which was where the fabric was made, namely from Nîmes, or 'de Nîmes'.
The authentic women's jeans
Women's jeans first emerged in 1934, with Levi's realizing that the women on the ranch were using the men's jeans for hard work. In the 1940s, jeans became popular with women who did the men's work while they were at war. Denim was especially used in factories due to its durable quality.
In the 1950s, jeans and denim became associated with young rebels thanks to actors like Marlon Brando and James Dean.
Vintage, retro or repro clothing?
As most of our customers already know, our clothing is not "true vintage". This means that they are not secondhand clothes made in the middle of the last century, but reproduced (repro) clothes that are inspired, with great attention to detail, by vintage clothes, prints and patterns. However, few of our customers are familiar with the term "repro". Instead, the terms retro and vintage are used to describe the clothes we sell, despite the fact that they are brand new. At Mondo Kaos, all the clothes in our store and webshop are newly produced, not second-hand, and are primarily inspired by the wonderful, feminine fashion of the 40s, 50s and 60s.
