Meet the women behind Mondo Kaos

Ditte is the owner of Mondo Kaos and since the opening in 2006 she is 'the boss of it all'. Ditte has a fondness for the 'quirky' and alternative, regardless of whether it is within clothing, design, interior design or lifestyle. Ditte loves the 40erne, 50erne og 60erne, which is of course reflected in the store's aesthetics

I årene 2017-2023 boede Ditte i Los Angeles, men er nu vendt tilbage til København. Ditte bor sammen med sin søn Charlie på 16 år (som arbejder "behind the scenes" i Mondo Kaos) og kattene Cornelius og Minnie. Ditte elsker at rejse hvilket var grunden til at hun endte med at bo 6 år i Los Angeles. She also has a passion for music and loves going to concerts in both small and large venues.

The boutique with the personal contact with the customers that has always been the driving force for Ditte.

Therefore, it is also of the utmost importance that our online customers get the experience of the same personal service. When we handle orders online, we therefore aim to give customers the feeling of having been in the store and shopping.

Ditte står desuden for designs af vores to in-house brands Rock it Rosie samt Daisy Dapper.

The motivation for Ditte is not just to sell clothes, but to make the customers feel 'empowered'. The clothes must be a way of expressing oneself. The customers in Mondo Kaos must experience that it is not their bodies that have to fit into the clothes, but the clothes that have to fit the body.

Julie er butiksbestyrer og daglig leder i Mondo Kaos. Hun tiltrådte i vinteren 2022, og har siden da været med til at sætte sit præg på Mondo Kaos. Trods Julies unge alder har hun allerede været i retailbranchen i 18 år, 13 af de år i en ledende funktion for store internationale brands.

For Julie faldt det naturligt at søge til Mondo Kaos, fordi hun ønskede et sted hvor hun kunne forene mange års retail erfaring med hendes love for the vintage and retro universe. She wants to pass on the love of vintage style and the feeling of feeling comfortable in clothes with the right fit. 

Julie bor i København med sin mand, og udover design og tøj elsker Julie musik og at gå til koncerter. Derudover elsker hun at gå til balletforestillinger, og så er Julie kattemenneske med stort K, og hun drømmer om en dag igen at få katte. (Vi bider mærke i at dette er flertal). 

Besides Ditte & Julie, you can also meet Jeanette, Signe and the other "Mondo Ladies" in the store. Of course, they all love the retro and vintage style, and they have all been customers for several years before they started working in the store. Therefore, they are Mondo ladies to the fingertips and are passionate about passing on both style and personalized customer service in their daily work in the store.
