Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of shooting with with American hair/make-up artist, Cherry Dollface. Cherry is resides in Los Angeles and visited Copenhagen during her European tour. She is a legend in pin-up hair and pin-up hair and make-up and we were so excited to have the opportunity to the opportunity to work with her.
Our sweet regular customer, Nadia Maraschino, was enticed to be in front of the camera and Kirstine Ploug was behind it. We had put together a number of outfits for Nadia in advance, including our classics: Billion Dollar Dress from Stop Staring and Monte Carlo Dress from Heart Of Haute.
And of course, Amber shoes from Miss L Fire - her favorite shoes of the season!
Nadia arrived on set without make-up and with her hair loose. The big dark hair hair was rolled up and Nadia was given a classic pin-up make-up as we with beautiful red lips and black winged eyeliner. Cherry brushed her hair out and curled it in a pageboy style, à la Hollywood stars of the 1940s and 1950s, such as Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Monroe.
After an hour and a half in Cherry's experienced hands, Nadia was ready to change into her first outfit of the day.
Nadia is incredibly photogenic and natural in front of the camera, so we had plenty of time to take pictures of all the outfits - both dresses and one of the fall coats.
We had a really fun day with the girls and Cherry was also keen to help with the skirts on the Monte Carlo dress, so the picture of the Monte Carlo dress to give it that Elvgreen pin-up feel.
