100% Rayon Crepe. No stretch!
For garments made from Rayon Crepe fabric, we recommend caring for them in the same way you would care for original 1940s garments.
We recommend hand-washing the garment, as was done in the 1940s, although you can have it dry-cleaned instead if you prefer!
It is best not to dry the garment in direct sunlight or in an excessively warm place (such as over a radiator), as this can cause the natural material to expand and then shrink.
If you accidentally think you have washed or dried the garment at too high a temperature, you can try the following method to restore its original size and fit. Although there is no guarantee this will work, it may help!
1. Soak the garment in cold water with a very generous amount of fabric conditioner and leave it overnight.
2. Then rinse the garment in fresh cold water and, while gently squeezing out the excess water, stretch it as far as you can in both width and length.
3. Lay the garment flat on a towel to dry slowly, and keep stretching it in both directions.
